Rams score big for season opener

The Mineral Wells Rams crushed the Castleberry Lions, 53-13, in the first home game of the season at Ram Stadium.

Offensive stats:
Team Totals for the Rams are 56 plays, 586 yards, 49r/570 yds rushing, and ¼= 16 yds passing.

Individual Rushing players included Jose Garcia with  22 / 320 yds / 4 TDs / 1 FBL, P.R Mendez with 8 / 73 / 1 TD / 1 2PT, DJ Simpson with 2 / 69 / 1 TD, Israel Flores with 4 / 34 yds, Fabian Martinez with 3 / 27 yds and his Receiving is 1 / 16 yds, Trayvon Berkins with 3 / 18 yds / 1 TD, Kayden Montalvo with 1 / 15 yds / 1 FBL, and Mason Facteau with 6 / -2 yds / 1 TD / 1 FBL, and his individual passing is ¼=16 yds.

ST Stats are 3/6 on PATS, Jose- 65 KOR yds, DJ-35 KOR yds, and Fabian- 1 punt 30 yds from Matt Williams.

Defensive Statistics: 67 tackles total from the MW Rams, 25 unassisted, and 42 assisted, 4 TFL, and 1 Sacks.

For the halftime show, the Mighty Ram Band debuted its 2022-23 show titled “Angels and Demons.” The Mineral Wells Wranglerettes performed sequences of choreography to “We Got The Beat” by The Go-Go’s.

After both teams took a break at halftime to rest and restore, amazing performances were given during the 3rd quarter to entertain the eager audience filled with zealous Ram fans.
