MINERAL WELLS – Crazy About Film Festival honorable mention winners LaMonte Hanyes, Michael Charron and Brandon Smallwood pose on the red carpet at _e Hatchet House in Mineral Wells, Aug. 20. Hanyes and Brandon wrote and starred in the short film, “When It’s Your Turn2: Surprise Birthday.” Charron directed the comedy, “First Impressions.” _e film, “Tejano Night” directed and written by Alexander Rosales, took home the top award. Rosales was not present at the event. _e film festival included film screenings and special events, Aug. 19-21.
